Here’s the backstory to why I was crying… I’ve delivered all four of my babies at this hospital, including my last unmedicated birth. By the time I got to the hospital, I knew baby was about to arrive in the next 20 to 30 minutes… I knew I should be admitted to a labor and delivery room but some of the nurses stopped me on the way in and told me to go to triage (the labor waiting room) to be “checked.” I was screaming at them telling them, “no” I need to go into a labor room and start pushing but they wouldn’t admit me. I started crying begging them because of my pain. My contractions were so intense. They rolled me into triage and because it was on the other side of the hall, Jordan lost us while filling out a form and didn’t know where I went. He assumed I’d be in labor and delivery…. I got to triage alone and had to go through maybe 10-15 min alone screaming in a room full of strangers while they made me lay on a bed and “checked” me. I understand it was “protocol” but i just started crying because I felt so alone and wanted Jordan. I felt awful for yelling in pain in front of other moms waiting in triage. Finally, Jordan found me and once they “checked” me they agreed I was about to have the baby any second and needed a labor room. 🫠

Baby boy is here!!!! Backstory…. When the doctor arrived I really struggled to find a position that felt comfortable to push in. I always thought I would want to push standing up but this time around I felt like I was going to pass out multiple times and was scared to stand! So I tried all 4’s and at one point just collapsed and could not hold myself up with my arms any more. I edited out a lot of the more graphic + cuss words + screaming but the one thing I will say is, my doctor and doula were amazing at calming me down. I COULD NOT have done this without them. You may not see the full on panic attack I had but I went a little crazy literally begging for the epidural at the end, of course it was too late! Haha. They really had to keep me focused. In a moment like this sometimes you need a stern talking to, to push through. 😂 *no pun intended

This baby is coming FAST!!! Backstory… Jordan told me we drove to the hospital on an empty tank of gas. I didn’t notice but our car was beeping for us to pull over the entire time! 😳 WILD. This is my first time we haven’t gone into active labor in the middle of the night! We’ve never had to worry about traffic or red lights before and WOW, we broke a lot of laws to get to hospital on time. I’m shocked we didn’t get pulled over 🫣 Jordan is such a chill driver and I of course was screaming at him. I can’t explain it but when you’re in that pain, nothing is funny and nothing else matters. I had one mission, hold this baby in till we get to the hospital….

Introducing our sweet boy, Smith Austin Ramirez. 🤍 A little backstory to this pregnancy….when I found out I was pregnant just four months postpartum, I totally panicked. Summit had just been born. I was still learning him, his cries, his sleep rhythms, the way he liked to be held…. I was still healing. Still adjusting and still figuring out how to show up for three little ones who already needed so much of me. All I could think was… How in the world am I going to love another baby the way they each deserve? How is my heart supposed to stretch any further? I needed more time in the day. It seemed impossible! Motherhood has a funny way of exposing your limits… and then gently proving you wrong because the wild, truth is this: there is no limit to a mother’s love. It doesn’t divide, it multiplies. It just expands. It deepens. It makes room. I never really understood that till Smith. The moment Smith was placed on my chest, every fear dissolved into peace. The same peace I’ve felt with each of our babies. Like my heart recognized him before my mind ever caught up. Like he was never an “addition” he was just always meant to be here… Baby Smith, you were never “too soon.” You were never “too much.” You were always ours.

I think my biggest fear was having a 10 pound baby with no meds!!! 😬 The last week I have experienced prodromal labor multiple times! Prodromal labor is a type of false labor contraction. It happens in the third trimester of pregnancy and can feel a lot like real labor. But after my 38 week appointment, i had progressed to 4 cm dilation and 70% effaced. I had another membrane sweep, walked 3 miles, bounced on the ball all day, and then got in a really intense massage!! And here we are!!! 🫣 Can’t wait to meet my boy! 💙

Is this finally the REAL labor!? Okay, so here’s the backstory…. This is my fourth pregnancy and I have delivered all my babies at 38 weeks but because I am going to try to have another unmedicated birth, I have been doing all the things to get this baby out! I think my biggest fear was having a 10 pound baby with no meds!!! 😬 The last week I have experienced prodromal labor multiple times! Prodromal labor is a type of false labor contraction. It happens in the third trimester of pregnancy and can feel a lot like real labor. But after my 38 week appointment, i had progressed to 4 cm dilation and 70% effaced. I was not prepared to answer all of these questions 🤣 so backstory…Stella is 5 going on 25!!! She is curious about everything & always has TONS of questions. Being the oldest & only girl, she is basically like a little mommy to her younger brothers. She was so excited to meet her new baby brother (even tho she might’ve wanted a sister lol). I knew she was going to have so many questions but I was not prepared to answer some of these hahaha🤣 On a real note, I know she is going to be SOOO much help as I basically have 2 babies (Irish twins) I’ll be taking care of. She is such a good big sister!!! 🥹
