NYC after NBA Finals Game 4!! Let’s go @nyknicks #nyc #nba #nyknicks #win
The love on Part 1 was unreal 🙏 The likes, the comments, the saves… I appreciate every single one of you. So let’s do a little Q&A from what you guys asked 👇

📷 What do you film with? @sonyalpha a7S III with a 16-35 f/4 lens
⛳️ What irons do you play? @mizunogolfnorthamerica Mizuno Pro 221 and 223
🏌️ What’s your handicap? I don’t technically have one since I turned pro, but I’d say around a +5
🏆 Are you playing tournaments? Trying to save up for pro golf right now, so that’s the goal

And here it is… the front 9 that turned this into my best 18 ever (so far) 🔥

GIVEAWAY 🚨 Comment your questions below, follow, drop a like, save this video, send it to a buddy, and repost it. I’ll randomly draw a winner for a Rapsodo MLM2PRO 🎉

Took a little break from golf while I sorted out some career stuff… and honestly? Stepping away taught me something. Coming back and grinding every single day again, I’ve realized I appreciate this game more than ever.
The truth is, doing something you love, even when it gets stressful, even when life pulls you in a hundred directions, that’s what actually matters. The grind hits different when it’s something you’d choose every time.
This is the back 9. It’s where the round started. 👀
Part 2 (the front 9) drops soon… and trust me, you’re gonna want to see how this one ends. ⛳️

Back at AltaVista Golf and Country Club for the first time in almost 10 years. 🇵🇭⛳️

This was my very first golf course. Grew up here as a kid in Cebu, learned the game on these fairways, and honestly it shaped everything about how I play today.

Played the front nine and the views hit different when you’re seeing them again after a decade. Still some of the best in Cebu.

Grateful for how far the game has come since I was that kid on this course.

Miles Russell nailed it at the US Open: pros don’t play exciting golf until they’re shooting 62. The rest of the time it’s just fairways, greens, and playing to your misses. Boring golf is good golf. Here’s 4 holes of nothing special (except for maybe hole 2🤣)

3 things I’m actually thinking about with my irons right now 🎯

	1.	Takeaway on plane. That’s it. If the club starts back correctly, I don’t think about anything else.
	2.	Shortening the backswing. A little more compact, a lot more control.
	3.	Transition. Smooth into the downswing is where the strike comes from.

But here’s the real one: on the range I’m never hitting the same shot twice. Low draw. High cut. Knock down. I’m constantly experimenting because my swing on the course is never the same swing.

Most people are chasing one perfect swing for every situation. That’s not how it works. You put in the reps on the range so when you’re standing over a shot with trees on the right and wind in your face, you can conjure up whatever that moment needs.

Build a toolbox, not a template ⛳️

You asked how I strike my irons so clean. So here it is, every swing thought on every shot 👇
The secret isn’t some magic move. It’s that I do the exact same thing before every single ball.
Three things I’m checking:
1. Square face. That little mini backswing you see me do? I’m just feeling where the face is on the way back. It’s now part of my routine on the course too.
2. Connected arms. Trail elbow stays tucked, never flared.
3. Full finish. I rehearse the follow through too, not just the backswing. The swing doesn’t stop at the top.
Pure contact comes from boring consistency, not luck. Same feel, same reps, until it’s automatic.
Save this one for your next range session 🎯

Shot -1 across these 3 holes and honestly the scorecard was the easy part. The real game is between the ears. 3 mental tips that keep me dialed out here ⛳️

🧠 Commit before you stand over it. Pick your target, pick your shot, then quiet the analysis. Indecision is the swing killer — the worst club in the bag is doubt.

🎯 Play the shot in front of you, not the score. -1 didn’t happen because I was chasing a number. It happened one shot at a time. Stay in the present and let the round build itself.

🌬️ Reset between shots. Bad swing? You get one breath to be annoyed, then it’s gone. The next shot doesn’t care what the last one did. Short memory = lower scores.

Save this for your next round 👇 What’s the one mental cue that keeps YOU locked in?

3 things I’m working on with the driver🫡

1. Wider takeaway. Low and long off the ball. It sets up everything else.

2. Stay behind it. Head back, chest back, letting the club come up into the ball instead of down on it.

3. Whip it. This is the big one for me right now. I’m imagining my arms actually decelerating through impact so the clubhead can sling past them. Arms stay relaxed, no tension, and the speed shows up where it matters instead of where I’m trying to force it.

That third one changed how the driver feels. Trying to swing hard with my arms was costing me speed. Letting them go soft and letting the club whip is faster.

Same philosophy as my irons though. On the range I’m not just standing there sending it. Low bullets, high bombs, working it both ways.

Because on the course you don’t always get to hit your favorite shot. Tight tee box, wind in your face, you need a 250 cut that stays down. If you’ve only practiced one driver swing, you don’t have that shot.

Build the reps now so you have options later ⛳️

These are some of my notes from my personal library of what I learned playing golf for almost 23 years. I’m putting this out here so it can hopefully help you guys out!

Warm up on the range:

I try to cover my whole bag when I am warming up, I like to get at least 10-15 shots each club. (Depending on time)

3 straight shots, 3 draws, 3 fades, 3 high shots, and 3 low shots per club.

Practice your pre shot routine with each shot! Visualize the shot you are trying to hit.

Hole 1 off the tee:

First tee shot is where the nerves usually come up. (For me) there was a point in my golf career where I am not able to hit the fairway on the very first hole due to “nerves”.

I worked on restructuring the thought to -> “I’m feeling this way because I am really excited to be out here on the course doing what I love”

I’ve hit a lot of fairways since…

Approach shots:

Hit the fat part of the green. If you are having a hard time hitting the green in regulation, try aiming for the big part of the green. 9 times out of 10, I miss the green if I’m being too aggressive to a pin tucked near the edge.

If the pin is close to the front fringe -> club up and take a smoother swing

If the pin is close to the back -> club down and swing slightly aggressive

Left -> aim right

Right-> aim left

Keep your pre shot routine identical every time, putting or full swing. Routine consistency lowers variance under pressure.

Play to your shot shape. If you draw the ball, aim down the right side of the fairway and let it work back. Fighting your natural shape under pressure is where big misses happen.
Take driver off the tee only when the reward outweighs the risk.

On tight or trouble heavy holes, a 3 wood or hybrid that leaves 150 yards in the fairway often beats a driver that leaves 90 yards from the rough.

Uphill and downhill lies change effective loft. Uphill lies add loft and shorten the shot, downhill lies reduce loft and add distance, so adjust club selection accordingly.
Sidehill lies tend to push the ball in the direction of the slope. Aim to allow for that natural curve rather than fighting it.

Use the lowest lofted club that gets the ball rolling as soon as possible onc
