ENDOMETRIOSIS EXCISION AND HYSTERECTOMY This past year I stepped away from being online to spend more time being in LIFE, and to truly prioritize my health— physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. I am more in awe than ever of how intrinsically entwined all facets of our health really are. Our bodies are always speaking. They talk to us in so many ways, too many of which we often (and unintentionally) disconnect from. I’ve spent 20 years living with varying degrees of chronic pain (among other symptoms). Ten of those years thinking (and being told) it was all normal, then the last ten knowing that it wasn’t (knowing it was endo) and still struggling to find help and answers. It has felt like my physical body has been pleading with me for a long time— and in January, she started screaming at me. After years and years of trying various ways to listen to and care for her— checking every other possible box, and trying to treat my symptoms— I finally made the decision to go forward with an endometriosis excision surgery and hysterectomy, as recommended by my doctors. My surgery was two months ago today, and I am very much still healing. I would LOVE to please hear from any of you who have had either of these surgeries, who has endometriosis (or adenomyosis!), or who thinks that they do. I told you that I would share openly about my own journey and experience with endometriosis— and I will. Please ask me ANYTHING. For now, I feel so deeply grateful. For my incredible husband who has witnessed my journey in this for nearly twenty years— always validating me and doing all he can to help me. For finally finding incredible doctors who listened to me. For being able to have an incredible endometriosis specialist surgeon. And for my incredible body. ❤️‍🩹❤️ For anyone still reading (this is most likely for you anyway!) THANK YOU for the love, thoughts, messages you’ve sent my way. I wrote this poem in the weeks leading up to my surgery, and I wanted to share it now— for every woman who has had a hysterectomy, for any reason whatsoever. ❤️‍🩹❤️ I see you I love you How I wish I could throw my arms around you, and hug you I knew that following my doctor’s recommendations of having a hysterectomy along with my endometriosis excision surgery was the right thing for me for multiple reasons. But it still felt like a punch in the gut the first time I heard that word. It still was something I needed to sit with, meditate on, and ultimately mourn. Because knowing something is the right choice does not make it the easy one. Right choices are not always free of fear, or guilt, or grief, or suffering. Peace and assurance sometimes exist simultaneously with those things, or they take turns, ebbing and flowing. Whatever your journey has been or brings, it’s valid. Allow your heart to feeeeeel all the things, through all of it.

If this affected men instead of women, do you think the following would still be true ?? 190 MILLION women worldwide are living with endometriosis. That’s not a rare condition. That is a global health crisis — yet countless women are STILL fighting to prove their pain is real. The average woman waits 7 to 9 YEARS to be diagnosed with endometriosis. She sees on average 7 different doctors. She often has her symptoms dismissed. She is often misdiagnosed. And when she finally gets answers? It requires surgery. HOW is it that in 2026 we STILL don’t have a reliable, widely available non-invasive test for one of the most common conditions affecting women on the planet?! Oh — and the economic toll in the U.S. alone is up to $120 BILLION annually. Yet endometriosis research remains dramatically underfunded. But sure. Tell her it’s probably just bad cramps. Or that she needs a cleaner diet. This is what it looks like when women’s physical pain is normalized, dismissed, and deprioritized for decades. I am so grateful that I have had the most supportive and understanding partner by my side as I’ve dealt with this— when even doctors dismissed or didn’t take me seriously, he always did. Even still, the fight for my physical health took a toll in many ways, which I know sooo many of you relate to. So. If you have been fighting to be heard— I believe you. Your pain is real. Your body is not dramatic. You are not too emotional. You are not weak. You are not crazy. And you deserved answers YEARS ago. ❤️‍🩹❤️

It has been so humbling, and made being able to go on this trip even more impactful. I am so soooo incredibly grateful for this time with my girl @laurkenkendall at @calaviespa — and to finally be feeling like I’m truly healing, and feeling more ABLE in my body again. My health+fitness goals I set this summer: - SLEEP! Allowing my body to rest as much as she needs. Very grateful to be in a season of life where I can do so. - MORE PRESENT TIME with the people I love, myself, and nature (aka LESS screen time) - ENJOY MY FAVORITE SUMMER TREATS AND SNACKS! (Honorable mention for my secondary nutrition goal of eating adequate protein to help my body continue to heal) - Movement! I haven’t felt ready to start lifting heavy again quite yet, but I’ve been swimming laps and surfing! I’ve completed a handful of bodyweight training sessions (15-20 mins) since my surgery. Feeling stronger each day but in absolutely no rush here - Writing! Poetry and journaling. Not stressing myself with this, but allowing space for it In a diet culture world that’s shoving so many SHOULDS in your face, I want to encourage you to ensure all of your goals are rooted in a mindset of abundance, and neverrr from a place of lack or negativity towards yourself or your body. I promise worthy goals set with positive intention will get you sooo much further 🙂‍↕️💕 If you’re a true one who actually ready my captions lol lmk something you’re focusing on right now! Xx Kels

As I am always here to remind you— YOUR MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS THE VERY MOST!👏🏼 Taking time to take care of yourself is not selfish — it is essential. My schedule in NYC has been non-stop the last few days, and the Equinox Hotel has been the perfect home base to help me prioritise my mental and physical wellbeing while travelling. From their in-room wellness offerings (hello yoga mat🧘‍♀️) to their truly world-class training facilities (FULLY EQUIPPED GYM😭), sauna, spa, nourishing cafes and beautiful common areas— I now fully get the @equinoxhotels hype. For me, movement and self-care rituals aren’t just about physical health — they are primary tools to care for my mental health as well, and staying at @equinoxhotels makes that so accessible while away from home.🙏🏼
WANT TO GET RID OF CELLULITE!? ➡️ Kk but fyi THIS is NORMAL 🙂‍↕️… …and THIS (billions of dollars) is why you think it’s not… ..and THISSSS (DECADES worth of propaganda) is why you believe its unhealthy, undesirable, or bad in any sesne.. I don’t bring attention to this as much as I want to, because every time I have in the past I have been the recipient of sooo much HATE, because “how dare you talk about that when you don’t even hardly have cellulite”! That’s the thing about diet culture rhetorics— it’s not about how your body is or isn’t (in this case how much cellulite you have or don’t)— it’s about your MENTAL relationship with that belief. The negative degree to which it impacts your life. I am passionate about this topic because when I was fifteen, I heard some girls in my cheer class snickering behind me while we sat cross legged on the floor about my “cottage cheese legs”— and from that day forward I spent insane amounts of energy, time, and money trying to “fix” something that WAS NEVER EVEN A PROBLEM. It’s not even their fault— they are victims of the same marketing and fear mongering and minimizing of women’s bodies that we all are. Even though I hardly had any cellulite, it took up soooo much weight in my mind. I spoke hate into my body over it. I didn’t wear outfits I wanted to because of it. It diminished my confidence. THAT IS INSANE! But then again? The billions of dollars being poured into brainwashing women to believe the texture of their skin is something to be ashamed of makes it actually pretty damn expected that we see it like that. I’ve spent a lot of time uprooting and rewriting these harmful threads in my own mind, and it always helps to remind myself of the facts from time to time. Wanted to remind you too!! Now I hope you’re out there having the BEST summer and living your BEST life and if your mind fixates on your thighs? I hope it’s to marvel at THEIR SEXY SOFT BEAUTY and ALL THEY CAN DO and how they literally carry you through this lifeeee. Ily ily! 🫶🏼

I am a strong, independent woman because he taught me how to be. Because of his enduring love and belief in me. And I know I am so. Damn. Lucky. He loved me before I knew how to love myself. He saw me before I could see myself. He has championed every change and never shied away from any part of me. He taught me how to love myself in the shadows, and is my courage to step into my light. The year I went viral for my “screw the scale” rant post (growing by 200,000 followers within two weeks— bringing me to a community of over 500,000). When people ask how to grow on sm, I could give all the advice in the world but the god’s honest truth is that I began my account back in the days where ig was TRULY organic— when you saw the accounts you followed, no ads, no algorithms, etc. I will always be grateful for the constant snowball of growth my fist years online that became the foundation of my career. 2016 — the year that changed EVERYTHING 🥹✨ Have any of you been here since the @ mysweatlife days!? 2016 was the year I became a certified trainer! The year I decided to leave my old life of Interior Design and go all in on my passion for redefining fitness 🥹 (thanks to the support of the most supportive husband who believe in me before I even could). The year I hosted local SLC meetups at my local gym! The year I went viral for my “screw the scale” rant post (growing by 200,000 followers within two weeks— bringing me to a community of over 500,000). When people ask how to grow on sm, I could give all the advice in the world but the god’s honest truth is that I began my account back in the days where ig was TRULY organic— when you saw the accounts you followed, no ads, no algorithms, etc. I will always be grateful for the constant snowball of growth my fist years online that became the foundation of my career. And for every single REAL HUMAN that has chosen to hit ‘follow’ at any point along my path, allowing me to share this small corner of the internet with them.🙏🏼 2016 hold’s so many of my firsts!! I remember each of my live sessions so vividly and I LOVEeee reminiscing about these moments with you 🥹 Whether at a fitness festival, community event, partnership event, or retreat— from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU to every one of you who have come to a live event. Thank you for showing up for YOU, for sharing your energy with me, and for making each workout so so special. There really is just NOTHING like training together in real life. The energy in a room full of women who chose to show up for themselves…who are breathing hard, pushing through, cheering each other on, and reminding one another just how incredibly strong and capable they are. It’s something I’ll never be able to fully put into words— Watching women remember their strength. Watching strangers become friends. Watching confidence grow. Watching women transmute the physical energy they create with their body into reconnecting with their SOUL✨ Because movement is inherent to life— and exercise was never meant to be solely aesthetically driven. It’s about connection. Community. Belonging. Coming HOME to yourself. Can’t waitttt to get back on stage and REMIND YOU 😆🫶🏼 #kelseywells #redefinefitness
